The cooking class is limited just for 2 -12 persons only to guarantee that all students can be in good hands with the experienced Thai chef and instructors team who run the whole school ourselves.

Courses at the Thai Orchid Cooking School are based on the philosophy that a meal should be a beautiful thing, made with love and shared with love. The school was started by three friends who have the same dream of sharing their love of Thai cooking with those who desire to learn how to cook delicious Thai food but also to experience the culture and poetry of Thai cuisine. Co-founders and cooking instructors Raat, Peem and A take this dream seriously, making the Thai Orchid Cooking School a cut above the rest.
The Thai Orchid classroom and cooking space is located in a beautiful bright and spacious Lanna (Northern Thai) style wooden house. The house is located on a quiet side-street within the Old City area of Chiang Mai close to Wat Phra Sing.
Courses begin with a lesson on fruit and vegetable carving and curry paste making and guided trip to the local market to see the varities of Thai ingredient. Once back at the school the students receive a cooking demonstration from one of the skilled instructors where each step of the process is clearly illustrated. Each student then has the opportunity to cook their own dishes on individual gas-stoves under the supervision of the instructor. This individual hands-on cooking experience is fundamental to the learning system at Thai Orchid.
All students will receive a Thai Orchid recipe book featuring all 25 of the dishes taught at the school. Also in the book are many “tricks of the trade” gained during the more than 30 combined years of Chef and Cooking Instructor experience held by Raat, Peem and A. Students are encouraged to keep in touch with the Thai Orchid instructors in order to ask any questions that arise after they have returned home and are using their new knowledge of Thai cuisine for their loved ones.
